Welcome to the official website for the brand new Canadian Gospel Recording Artists, Valiant.

The ministry of Valiant joins the likes of three former Canadian gospel recording artists in multi-award winning vocalist Matthew Grieve (formerly of His Season and The Unashamed Quartet) along with dynamic pianist & vocalist Jeff Harden (formerly of The Heading Home Trio) and the compelling vocals of Rodney Hamilton (formerly of Beyond the Veil, Sonshine City and The Royal City Quartet).  In conjunction with their tight harmonies and moving testimonies, Valiant brings inspired music that is able to reach to the corners of the four generation church by performing the hymns of yesteryear along with the new worship songs of today and the southern gospel favourites that seem to never grow old.  Each member has a heart for leading the church in worship, while collectively captivating the unsaved and sharing the true message of hope through song.  

Matt & Jeff, who are both pastors’ sons, were originally introduced to each other in grade school when they attended Christian school in Cambridge, Ontario, while Rodney was introduced years later throughout their singing travels.  For each of the guys growing up, music ministry had taken a leading roll in their lives, as their fathers had all been members of gospel quartets touring throughout North America.  To this day, many years later, all three fathers continue to sing in gospel music as Matthew’s father is the tenor singer for The Trademarks Quartet, Rodney’s father is the lead singer for Crystal River, and Jeff’s father is the tenor singer for The Watchmen Quartet.  As pleased as Valiant is for their musical heritage, I’m sure their fathers are more proud to watch as their sons follow in their footsteps.
